Tools: Comb/brush, hair bobbles, hair pins/kirby grips. Optional: hair band, strip of material, scarf etc
Firstly you need to section off your hair down the middle and tie into two pigtails on top of your head, not too far back, and quite close together. (For a single fall, a high ponytail on top of your head is needed.)
Twist the hair and make into two buns, tie with a hair bobble. These need to be secure, so if they feel like they might fall out, either take them out and start again, or add extra bobbles and hair grips until they feel secure.
Place the fall so it is over the top of your bun, the dreads should be laid across the top of your head, so you can tie the elastic around the bottom of your bun. Tie the elastic, and wrap any excess around the bun and tie again.
Flip the fall over the top of the bun so it is hanging down.
This is where the hair pins/kirby grips come in. Arrange the dreads so they are covering your bun and pin in place if needed. Move the dreads about until you are happy with how they look .
Once you have both falls in place, then you can add your hair band or other bits and pieces. If you feel your dreads don't feel secure, or a little bit of your bun is showing, or the elastic from the falls, then you can get a strip of material/scarf/legs from a pair of tights etc, and tie it around the base of the falls/bun to help secure it in place and cover up and joins or showing bits of hair. This isn't nessecery but can help the falls stay in without worrying about them flying off your head!
Alternativly, you can take a couple of dreads from each fall, flip them over to the other side so they cross in the center and pin or knot them in place. This can help the falls feel more secure, and also helps hide more of your natural hair!
It make take you a few attempts to get it right, just practise with them until you find what best suits you.
